Indian Institute for Health Training (established in 1979) as the Training Division of Indian Rural Medical Association (IRMA), a Govt. registered body of Primary Health Care. It has more than 500 centers all over India and these are engaged in training of Community Medical Service and Essential Drug Courses as designed and specified by World Health Organisation. We have also other centers spreaded in South East Asia (Nepal, Bangladesh, etc.).
IIHT′s head quarter is engaged in the following courses which are highly employment oriented:
Diploma in Sanitary Inspector:
It is affiliated by All India Institute of Local Self Government, Mumbai. IIHT is the only above said course conductor in Eastern & North Eastern India. Till 2010 IIHT was engaged in Certificate Course affiliated by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education, but considering the limited employment opportunity in west Bengal we have taken affiliation from Govt. of India as above.
